A campus event discovery platform built from scratch for Stanford's student community, scaling to over 1,500 users through product improvements and guerrilla marketing.
Stanford had hundreds of events and 600+ student organizations, but information was scattered across emails, Instagram, and fragmented mailing lists. Students constantly missed things they'd have loved.
I built Happening Stanford as a search-first discovery layer with fast, tagged search — events could be found by category, time, location, and interest. The organizations directory (shown at right) was a key feature: a filterable, browsable index of every active student org with their upcoming events.
